Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective

Winchester Voices

Into the early 1990's, Canal Winchester had a community choir, the Canal Winchester Chorale directed by Virginia Heffner.  The Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective is excited to bring this tradition back to our community with the newly-formed Winchester Voices.

Our mission is to create a welcoming space for choral singers of all levels of proficiency and backgrounds.

This new vocal ensemble is open to everyone without an audition, ages 16 and up.  The only requirement is a love of singing and creating the Art with others.  The Choir's music will range from Sacred and Secular, Pop and Broadway, to Folk and Classical.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30 at Hope Methodist Church, 83 E. Columbus St. Canal Winchester.

As the program grows, we will have an annual Holiday Concert, a Spring Concert and our Summer Sings! Concert. Since our group is sponsored by the Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective, a 501(c)3 non-profit, Choir members will be asked to pay a $25 fee to help purchase music and supplies. This fee can be paid at the first rehearsal or you can click the link to PNC Bank's secure "Clover" website.

The Winchester Voices will be directed by Todd Phillips.  Mr. Phillips (Fil) has nearly 40 years of Choral Music Education experience, the last 35 years as the Canal Winchester High School Vocal Music Educator.  Under his direction, the High School Vocal Department consistently scored high ratings in OMEA Solo and Ensemble, District and State Competitions.
