Into the early 1990's, Canal Winchester had a community choir, the Canal Winchester Chorale directed by Virginia Heffner. The Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective is excited to continue this tradition with the Winchester Voices.

Our mission is to create a welcoming space for choral singers of all levels of proficiency and backgrounds.

This vocal ensemble is open to everyone without an audition, ages 16 and up. The only requirement is a love of singing and creating the Art with others. The Choir's music will range from Sacred and Secular, Pop and Broadway, to Folk and Classical.

We are now taking Signups for our Summer Sings! starting June 20 and running up to our Summer Sings! Concert, August 22. We'll be rehearsing on Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30pm at Hope Methodist Church, 83 East Columbus St. in Canal Winchester.

We fully realize that the Summer can be busy with family time and vacations. Our Summer concert will have 8 to 10 Choir songs and various solos. If you need to miss a rehearsal or two, please don't let stop you from joining us. While we want to be prepared and sing our best, it's most important that we create the open, welcoming environment for everyone to find the joy of making music together.

Since our group is sponsored by the Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective, a 501(c)3 non-profit, Choir members will be asked to pay a $25 fee each session to help purchase music and supplies. This fee can be paid at the first rehearsal or you can click the link to PNC Bank's secure "Clover" website.

The Winchester Voices will be directed by Todd Phillips. Mr. Phillips (Fil) has nearly 40 years of Choral Music Education experience, the last 35 years as the Canal Winchester High School Vocal Music Educator. Under his direction, the High School Vocal Department consistently scored high ratings in OMEA Solo and Ensemble, District and State Competitions.
