It's time for some community Theatre! With the success of the Winchester Voices community choir, the Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective has created the Winchester Wackadoos, our Community Street Theatre Troupe.

Do you like improv? Or prefer a scripted part? Do you like creating big characters? Do you bring a special skill? Mime? Juggling? Do you work best behind the scenes?

Do you want to join us in this new experience?

These first performances of our Street Theatre Troupe are designed to highlight the skills of our performers. The scripts will be in the 10 minute range so rehearsals will be scheduled around the actors' availability. Depending on the number performers, we may form multiple ensembles to perform in different locations on different schedules throughout the afternoon.

As the troupe is up and running, we are looking for opportunities to perform at Downtown Canal Winchester events throughout the year. This will include the Historic Ghost Tours and Christmas in the Village. Rehearsals are scheduled to meet the needs of upcoming performances and the actor's availbility.

Join The Christmas in the Village Charlie Brown Christmas Troupe!

In downtown Canal Winchester the street will be closed and all the shops are open late. There will be a parade that brings Santa to the big tree in Stradley park, a tree lighting ceremony, hay rides, ice skating, ice sculptures, and much more! There are then luminaries leading down High street to the Historical Society Complex.

Friday and Saturday

5:00-6:00 - Pre-entry for Historical Society Members

6:00-9:00 - A Storybook Christmas

The Historical Society Complex will be all decked out in this year's Storybook Christmas theme - Charlie Brown Christmas. We have food vendors, craft vendors, hot chocolate bar, and Christmas light display. Kids crafts in the school house, kids game stations, a Lucy advice booth, photo booth, bubble tent, and much more! Kids will be able to pick up a scavenger hunt card to be punched at different stations and then enter to win door prizes.

In the center of the complex there will be a stage which is where we will be! We will function on a half hour rotation... Charlie Brown Story time, time to warm up inside, and flash mob. And then we will repeat the whole thing again!
