CW Performing Arts Collective is proud to announce a new performing ensemble: Winchester Winds! Winchester Winds is an ensemble created to give musicians an opportunity to play their instruments once again, even if it has been some time since their last ensemble experience.

For many of us, making music provides a therapeutic escape that is much needed among our every day lives. Winchester Winds is your chance to engage in community music-making in the Canal Winchester area! It is our mission is to spread music and joy throughout the region.

Everyone is welcome, no matter your experience. Individuals 16 years of age and older are encouraged to join! There is no audition to take part in this exciting opportunity! At present, the ensemble will be a brass group, but as it evolves we hope to become a full wind ensemble.

Literature will range from Brass Band classics to arrangments of current popular music.

Join us today! Our season will begin Tuesday, September 17. Rehearsals will take place every week at Canal Wincnester Methodist Church, 15 W. Columbus Street, Canal Winchester from 7:30pm-9:30pm. The ensemble is under the direction of Joseph Dixon, BMusEd, OSU.

The first performance is scheduled for Saturday, November 9 at the CW Johnson's Real Ice Cream. We'll also be involved in the Canal Winchester Christmas in the Village Celebration, December 6 & 7. We can’t wait to make music with you!
